David villa's comments in euro 2008

The top-scorer of EURO 2008 continued: "We will have to see if between all the Spanish people we will be able to overcome Russia, so that we can reach the final."
In reference to the clash with Italy, Villa admitted that although the Italians are "a very dangerous team", Spain proved much "superior" to them, and what gave the Spaniards life were the "two saves made by Iker [Casillas]".
Villa scored Spain's first spot-kick in the penalty shootout, that ended up 4-2 in favour of the Spaniards, after Italy missed two of their penalty kicks.

We suffered a lot, but at the end we are all happy. It has been a long time now that history has owed us something," stated the striker, who said the King told the squad: "He was very happy, and he wanted to return to see the team win once again."

I'm very happy and proud to be his fan.
